Crockpot Venison Stew

Qty Measure Ingredient


4 carrots, sliced

4 potatoes, cubed

2 pounds venison stewmeat, cubed

1 cup consomme

1 small chunk of beef suet, optional

salt, pepper, garlic powder & onion powder, to taste

1 stalk celery, cut 1/2-inch thick

1 small can peas

1/4 cup red wine

Instructions: Place ingredients in crockpot in order given, so that carrots are on bottom.

Cover and cook on LOW for 9-12 hours or on HIGH for 5-7 hours.

Note: Can be cooked on top of stove; just simmer all ingredients except the vegetables in a pan for about two hours. Then add vegetables and simmer for another half hour.
