Venison Beer Soup

Qty Measure Ingredient


1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

2 pounds venison stew meat, cubed extra small

1 pound can tomatoes, cut up

1 can beer

1/2 cup onion, chopped

2 cubes beef bouillon

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground peppercorns

1/2 teaspoon thyme

2 cups cubed or sliced vegetables (peas, potatoes, carrots, corn, etc)

salt (may need less because of bouillon cubes)

pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, to taste

Instructions: Brown venison in the shortening.

Add all ingredients except vegetables and simmer for about two hours or until meat is tender.

Then add the vegetables and simmer for another half hour.
