Bread Pudding

Qty Measure Ingredient

1 can sweetened condensed milk

3 cups hot water

2 cups finely chopped bread

3 eggs, slightly beaten

1 tablespoon melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup raisins, optional

Instructions: In a large bowl mix milk and water and raisins, if used; add bread and let stand about 15 minutes.

Stir in eggs, butter, vanilla and salt.

Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish.

Place in a shallow pan of hot water and bake at 350* for 1 hour.
