5 cups self-rising flour

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 package dry yeast

1/4 cup warm water

1 3/4 cups buttermilk

Instructions: Combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in butter and mix until crumbly. Dissolve yeast in water and stir into dry mixture along with buttermilk.

Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut out biscuits and place on a lightly greased baking pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
