4 cups fresh blackberries, covered with water
1 cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions: Place blackberries, covered in water, and 1 cup of sugar in saucepan, heat to boil and boil 5 minutes.
Mix flour, sugar and vanilla together. Take fork and blend in butter until flaky. Pour berries and juice from above into 9x13-inch pan.
Sprinkle flour mixture over top, place in 325* oven and bake until top is brown, about 30-35 minutes.
