1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened

1 stick butter, softened

1 tablespoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

dash salt

2 1/2 cups Confectioner's sugar

1/2 to 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional

Instructions: Beat cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Add milk, vanilla and salt. Gradually add sugar, beating until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.

If necessary, stir in additional milk, 1 teaspoonful at a time.

Stir in the chopped nuts, if desired.
