Crockpot Favorite Pot Roast

1 (3-3 1/2) pound roast

salt and pepper, to taste

garlic powder and onion powder, to taste

1 onion bagel, cut in 8 wedges

3 carrots, peeled & cut in 1" slices

4 potatoes, cut into eighths

1 stalk celery, coarsely chopped

1 cup beef broth

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 cup water

Instructions: Trim visible fat from meat. Season meat.

Place vegetables in bottom of crockpot. Pour broth over vegetables.

Place seasoned meat on top of vegetables.

Cover and cook on LOW for 8-9 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.

To thicken juices, remove meat and vegetables; keep warm. Turn control to HIGH. Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into cooker.

Cover and cook on HIGH 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Serve with meat and vegetables.
