FILLING:
2 1/4 cups dates
1 cup sugar
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup water
Instructions: Filling: Mix together in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick. Cool while making dough.
Dough: Place all dough ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll each section out and spread filling evenly on both. Roll up like jelly roll.
Place in refrigerator over night.
Slice each roll in slices 1/2 inch thick.
Bake at 350* for 10-15 minutes.
