2 cans bean and bacon soup
2 cans jalapeno pinto beans
2 cans Navy beans
1 can chopped tomatoes with chilies
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can water
2 1/2 cups chopped ham, smoked sausage
OR
1 1/2 pounds ground beef, brown and drained
Instructions: Mix all ingredients (but do not drain the beans) in a large saucepan with a lid. Simmer on low heat for about 1 1/2 hours.
I use the crockpot; Mix all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.
