Easy Red Beans and Rice

Qty Measure Ingredient


1/2 cup chopped green pepper

1 15 1/2 oz can kidney beans, drained

1/2 cup chopped onion


2 cubes chicken bouillon

1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

2 cups water

2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked

Instructions: Cook and stir green pepper and onion in oil in large skillet on medium heat until tender.

Stir in water, beans, bouillon and pepper sauce. Bring to boil, stir in rice; cover.

Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.



Background: Note: I use pinto beans; and half a bag of frozen bell pepper, onion and celery.
