1 cup cornmeal
1 cup self-rising flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
1/2 to 1 cup onion, chopped
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
salt and pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
milk
cooking oil
Instructions: Heat oil in skillet.
Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, egg, onion, parsley and spices. Add enough milk to form a thick batter.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Cook until golden brown all over.
Drain on paper towels.
