1 angel food cake mix, dry

1 20 can crushed pineapple with juice

OR

1 can light fruit pie filling

Instructions: Mix the dry cake mix (be sure it is angel food) with the pineapple or the fruit pie filling.

Pour into a 9-by-13-inch pan, ungreased, and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 to 45 minutes or until spongy feeling and soft, but not dry.

Background: Note: REMEMBER: It is either crushed pineapple or a pie filling, NOT both.

Pineapple cake: Top with 1/2 cup shredded coconut and 1/2 cup chopped nuts before baking.

Fruit filling cake: Sprinkle top with powder sugar while warm.
