One-Rise Mixer Bread

Qty Measure Ingredient


1 package dry yeast

2 1/3 cups flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon soda

1 cup sour cream

1 egg

Instructions: Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup hot water. Add 1 1/3 cups flour and remaining ingredients.

Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 30 seconds. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes.

Stir in remaining flour. Place in well-greased loaf pan. Let rise until almost doubled in bulk.

Bake in preheated 350* oven for 25-30 minutes or until done.

Cool on wire rack. Freezes well.
