Perfect Pie Crusts

Qty Measure Ingredient


4 1/2 cups flour

1 tablespoon sugar

2 teaspoons salt

1 3/4 cups shortening

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 large egg

1/2 cup cold water

Instructions: Mix flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until very crumbly. Blend vinegar and egg with fork; pour over flour mixture. Pour in water. Stir until moist. Divide into 4 or 5 equal balls; roll out each.



Background: Note: Balls of dough crust freeze well.
