Uncooked Fruitcake III

1 pound graham crackers, crushed

1/2 pound vanilla wafers, crushed

1 quart walnuts

1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 cups miniature marshmallows

1 pound fresh or dried dates

1 dash maraschino cherry juice

Instructions: Place the crushed graham crackers and vanilla wafers in a large bowl.

Add remaining ingredients, making sure no stems or seeds are in the cherries.

After mixing, roll up into several rolls about 1 1/2 inches by 12 inches.

(The mixture should be somewhat sticky; if too sticky, add a little more crushed graham cracker crumbs.)

Use plastic wrap to help shape the rolls.

Place in refrigerator for a week or two to cure.

For a gift, wrap in aluminum foil and place a bow on each roll. Tell recipient to keep the fruitcakes refrigerated and to cut them into rounds just before serving.
