Upside-Down German Chocolate Cake

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 cup flaked coconut

1 German chocolate cake mix

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese

1 stick butter

1 pound powdered sugar

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350*F.

Sprinkle coconut and pecans into a 9-by-13-inch pan, which has been sprayed with Pam.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

Pour on top of nuts and coconut.

In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter.

Add powdered sugar, and beat until creamy.

Pour on top of cake batter.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until cake is firm to touch.

It is possible to turn out cake, but much easier to serve from pan.
